Winter Rituals
Our Founder Holly Spierings tells all on her Winter Ritual
Balancing the roles of motherhood, entrepreneurship, marriage, and friendship is incredibly fulfilling yet undeniably challenging.
This winter, amidst the whirlwind of daily life, I've found solace in nurturing my favourite rituals. These practices serve as anchors, grounding me and fostering a sense of wellbeing amid the chaos we all experience. As the winter settles in, it offers an opportunity to prioritise self-care and nourish ourselves.
Here are some of my most cherished and practical tips to infuse healing and rituals into your winter days:
Harness the Power of Light: Get out in natural sunlight whenever possible.Light can uplift the mood and elevate serotonin levels.
Meditation & Movement: Over these past years I have practised the art of Meditation to assist in healing and connection to self. This winter I encourage you to try this practice and also embrace indoor exercises that invigorate your body and enhance circulation. Whether it's the gentle flow of yoga, the rhythm of dance, or a tailored home workout, I find staying active is key to nurturing both body and mind.
Skin Health: Winter is a perfect time for Nourishing your skin. I love using our Gua Sha to improve skin health by enhancing circulation, promoting lymphatic drainage, and nourishing the skin from within. This technique can help reduce signs of aging, boost collagen production, and enhance skin tone and texture during the colder months. Incorporating Gua Sha into your winter skincare routine can rejuvenate the skin, promote a healthy glow, and support anti-aging efforts for a more youthful appearance.
Journaling: Take moments to unravel your thoughts, express your emotions, and cultivate gratitude through journaling. Reflecting on your experiences can unveil insights and foster emotional well-being.
Disconnect: Disconnect from digital distractions and reconnect with nature. A walk in the crisp winter air or simply immersing yourself in the quiet beauty of the outdoors can rejuvenate your soul.
Remember, winter is more than just a season of cold and darkness, it's a time for inner growth and renewal. By embracing these rituals and nurturing your mind, body, and soul, you can navigate the winter months with warmth, resilience, and a deep sense of wellbeing.
