Customisable, Refillable Beauty has landed, and to showcase our new, intelligent packaging, and award-winning formulations, we held a makeup masterclass at our Byron Bay Concept Store, with influential and renowned Australian Makeup Artist, Ashlea Penfold, featuring Byron Bay style icon, Lisa Danielle.
Here, we share Ashlea’s insider tips on how to create her signature luminous skin and soft smokey-eye look, using a full face of #EOHBeauty, including our new customisable and refillable eyeshadow and complexion compacts.

Step 1.
To prepare the skin, apply a few drops of the Seven Seed Sacred Oil, and massage it in with your hands in a firm upward and outward motion. Ashlea says, “this beauty ritual brings new blood to the surface and makes the skin more radiant and receptive to the product that is applied afterwards.”
Step 2.
Apply the Skin Tint Serum Foundation with the Vegan Buffing Brush evenly across the face, focusing on the outer parameters and working in as needed. Ashlea advises applying product sparingly in the T section of the face, as too much product can sometimes cause it to break up. When choosing your ideal shade, she recommends color matching to the décolletage rather than the face or neck for a seamless blend. Lisa is wearing the shade ‘Warm’.
Step 3.
Using the Triple C Concealer in the shade ‘Tan Dune’, Ashlea applies it to the top of the ear and temple to contour the face and make the cheekbones pop, as well as the forehead and sides of the nose to add definition. Blend out evenly with a brush or sponge to create a skin-like finish. She then uses the shade ‘Dark Ochre’ to conceal in a C shape in the inner corners of the eyes, and lightly conceals under the eyes.
Step 4.
Using the Dual Brow Perfect, fill in brows with flicking motions and lightly follow the top part of the brow. Set the brows in shape by using the included brow gel for all day wear. Ashlea applied the shade ‘Husk Light’ on Lisa.
Step 5.
With the Vegan Contour Brush, add the ‘Sahara Bronzer’ from the Universal Complexion Duo palette across the face where the sun would naturally, for a warm glow. Then, apply the ‘Lunar Blush’ shade across the cheeks and nose for a flushed, sunkissed look. Ashlea recommends applying blush from the center of the cheek, in line with brows, then outwards to create a lifted finish.
Step 6.
Using the Vegan Blending Brush, create a smooth, even base for eyeshadow with a thin layer of Triple C Concealer to cover any veins or redness.
Step 7.
Using the shade ‘Axis’ from the Eyeshadow Compact Dusk, buff the shade through the crease and outer corners of the eyes towards the lash line using the same
Vegan Blending Brush. Then, using the Vegan Angled Brush, press the same shade along the lash line to deepen the look and slightly drag outwards to elongate and define the eyes.
Step 8.
To deepen the lower lash line, Ashlea used the shade ‘Mars’ with the Vegan Angled brush to subtly add definition and lift the eyes by continuing to extend the shadow outwards.
Step 9.
Using the shade ‘Dust’, highlight the inner corners of the eyes and the brow bone.
